Ok, this is not from Jogja, but from Jakarta. My fiance's father is a drafter, he designs houses. And a couple weeks ago he took me by the people who do his stone and wood work. Absolutely incredible pieces of art! I even saw the carvers, sitting and chiseling away beautiful Indonesian flowers into a large slab of stone. Sitting around their covered area were elaborate stone lanterns, carvings of fish, frogs, turtles, stunning carved pictures of flowers, horses, Indonesian stories, and the last supper.
